Renew the Pews: Our sanctuary is where God meets us and strengthens faith. Over time, the pews have become worn and damaged, with stained cushions and holes. We seek to renew this space faithfully. Our goal is $20,000 to reupholster the pews. Thus far, we have raised $3,900. We ask that all gifts be received by April 22nd. Holy Week and Easter Sunday Worship: Maundy Thursday (4/2 7pm), Good Friday (4/3 7pm), Easter (4/5 8:00am and 9:30am). The 9:30am Easter worship service will not have Sunday school, but will include a special coloring activity that can be done in worship, and a staffed nursery will be available for families with small children.

Easter Breakfast: On Easter Sunday we will once again be having our annual breakfast. It will be from 7:30am to 9:30am. All proceeds from the free-will offering will benefit Grace’s missions and ministries.

High School Bible Study Starting April 8th: A new bible study is starting for our high schoolers. They will meet in the church library each Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30pm starting April 8th. For more information, or to RSVP please contact youth@gracelutheran1.org

 Urban Air – 6th to 12th Graders: Our next Youth Social Event will be May 2nd from noon to 2pm. It is open to kids who are in junior high or high school. To RSVP or for more information please contact youth@gracelutheran1.org

Diaper Collection: Throughout March, Sunday School children will take part in a service project supporting Keeping Families Covered in McHenry, an organization dedicated to addressing diaper need. Donation boxes will be available in the Grace Lutheran narthex for diapers (all sizes), wipes, bed pads, and related supplies—open packages welcome. Cash donations are appreciated. News Men’s Group: Dean Peterson is leading a new men’s group! The next meeting will be on April 12th, after the 9:30am service. Please let us know if you have questions or would like more information.

WELCA Meetings: WELCA meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 10:00am in Luther Hall.

Confirmation and Sunday School Continue: Confirmation and Sunday School are now meeting each week. Sunday school during our 9:30am worship service and confirmation Wednesdays at 5:30pm.

Music Ministry at Grace: We are seeking more folks to become involved with music at Grace. If you are interested in sharing your voice, instrumental ability or have no musical background but would like to learn how you might be involved, please contact Tara at jzzldy8@sbcglobal.net  There are opportunities to help lead the weekly hymns, sing with our choir, or help provide special music on holidays, as well as for Sunday services. All are welcome, ages 12 and up [younger considered], and no level of experience is required. And you need not make a long-term commitment.
