All Saints Day: All Saints Day is this Sunday, November 2nd, during both worship services. All Saints Day is the day of the church year when we recognize those who have been baptized and those who have passed into God's eternal care. During that service, you will have the opportunity to light a candle in memory of a loved one.

 Grace Youth Christmas Band: Calling all young musicians, 5th grade through high school! Grace is putting together a special Christmas band to play in between services one Sunday and possibly in the community. Rehearsals will start on November 16th after the 9:30am service. Rehearsals and performances will vary based on interest and availability. Sign up in the church narthex or by contacting Mary Beth Mihevc at mbmihevc@gmail.com

 Commitment Card: Thank you to everyone who has already returned a card. If you have not yet turned in your 2026 Commitment Card, there’s still time! Every gift—of every size—helps Grace remain a place where faith grows, neighbors are served, and lives are changed. Additional cards are available in the narthex.

You can bring your card to worship, mail it to the church office (P.O. Box 425, Richmond, IL 60072), or email your commitment to office@gracelutheran1.org.

First Communion Classes: Grace’s next first communion class will be November 9th following the 9:30am service. Children will be able to receive their first communion on November 16th during the 9:30am service. Grace has no age requirement for when a child may receive their first communion. WELCA Meetings: WELCA meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 10:00am in Luther Hall. All women are invited to attend.

Confirmation and Sunday School Continue: Confirmation and Sunday School are now meeting each week. Sunday school during our 9:30am worship service and confirmation Wednesdays at 5:30pm.

Music Ministry at Grace: We are seeking more folks to become involved with music at Grace. If you are interested in sharing your voice, instrumental ability or have no musical background but would like to learn how you might be involved, please contact Tara at jzzldy8@sbcglobal.net  There are opportunities to help lead the weekly hymns, sing with our choir, or help provide special music on holidays, as well as for Sunday services. All are welcome, ages 12 and up [younger considered], and no level of experience is required. And you need not make a long-term commitment.
